Greater Noida: Greater Noida Police have busted an alleged interstate child trafficking racket accused of kidnapping a six-year-old boy and planning to sell him for ₹4.5 lakh. Three suspects were injured in a police encounter in the Kasna police station area, while seven people, including two women, were arrested.

Police said the child was safely rescued and handed over to his parents. The operation has exposed an alleged conspiracy involving the abduction and attempted sale of the child.

Child Allegedly Kidnapped Outside Hospital

According to police, the six-year-old boy was kidnapped from outside Kanshi Ram Hospital on October 13. The accused allegedly used a Splendor motorcycle during the kidnapping and later transported the child to Ghaziabad in an Aura car.

Investigators found that an alleged deal had been arranged to sell the child to Kamlesh, a Delhi resident, for ₹4.5 lakh. Police said an advance payment of ₹2 lakh had reportedly been made.

Police Intercept Suspects Near Dadha Roundabout

Acting on the directions of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh, special teams were formed to ensure the child's safe recovery. A joint team comprising Kasna Police, Ecotech-1 Police and the Special Operations Group intensified the investigation.

Based on information received during the probe, police were checking vehicles near Dadha Roundabout when they attempted to stop a suspicious car.

According to police, the suspects tried to flee, and their car collided with a tree. The occupants allegedly opened fire at the police team, prompting retaliatory firing.

Three suspects from Amroha—Gurmeet, Sumit and Ankit—sustained gunshot injuries to their legs during the encounter.

Who Are the Seven People Arrested?

Police said Vikas and Nakul were apprehended based on information provided by the other accused. Pushpa was arrested for her alleged role in the proposed sale of the child, while Kamlesh, a Delhi resident, was arrested for allegedly attempting to purchase him.

With these arrests, the total number of people apprehended in the case reached seven, including two women. Police are investigating the alleged roles of each accused and the wider network behind the incident.

Cash, Illegal Firearms and Vehicles Recovered

DCP Greater Noida Shravan Kumar Singh said the police recovered more than ₹2.22 lakh in cash, three illegal country-made pistols, one car and one motorcycle during the operation.

The investigation is continuing to establish the full sequence of events, identify other possible contacts of the alleged interstate racket and determine the roles of those suspected of involvement in the child's kidnapping and proposed sale.

Police said the rescued child had been reunited with his parents.
